About Apna Tracker
What is Apna Tracker?
Apna Tracker is GPS vehicle tracking and fleet management software from APNA INFOTECH, Bikaner, Rajasthan. The Apna Tracker app (Android, iPhone and web at app.apnatrack.in) shows live location, route history, fuel data and instant alerts for cars, bikes, trucks, buses and machinery. It works with AIS-140, Teltonika and GT06 GPS devices, and compatible devices can be supplied pre-configured. About Apna Tracker.
How does a GPS vehicle tracker work?
A GPS tracker in the vehicle reads its position from GPS satellites and sends it over the mobile network to the Apna Tracker servers. The Apna Tracker app then shows the vehicle live on a map, saves its route history and sends you alerts for events such as ignition, overspeed or power cut.
Who is Apna Tracker for?
Apna Tracker is used by car and bike owners for anti-theft tracking, and by transport companies, logistics fleets, schools, bus operators, taxi fleets and construction companies for fleet management. GPS dealers and installers can also resell it under their own brand.
Which apps does Apna Tracker have?
Apna Tracker has apps for Android and iPhone, and a web app at app.apnatrack.in that works in any browser on a phone or computer. The same login works on all of them.
Is Apna Tracker available in Hindi?
Yes. The Apna Tracker app and website work in Hindi and English, and you can switch language at any time. Our support team also talks to you in Hindi or English.
Quotation, setup & buying
How much does Apna Tracker cost?
Apna Tracker pricing is quotation-based. It depends on the number of vehicles, whether you use your own GPS devices or need new ones, add-ons such as fuel sensors, installation, and monthly or annual billing. Tell us your requirement on a call, on WhatsApp or through the contact form and we send you a quotation.
How do I get Apna Tracker?
Tell us your vehicles and requirement on a call (+91 95297 21111), on WhatsApp or through the contact form. We suggest the right plan and devices, send a quotation, and once you confirm we set everything up — anywhere in India.
How quickly will I get a quotation?
We call you within 24 hours of your enquiry to understand your vehicles and requirement, and send the quotation after that discussion — usually within one working day.
Can I use my existing GPS device with Apna Tracker?
Usually yes. Apna Tracker works with AIS-140 (VLTD) devices, Teltonika trackers and GT06/Concox trackers. Share the make and model with us and we confirm compatibility and set the device to report to Apna Tracker — you do not need to buy new hardware.
Do you provide installation?
Yes. Installation can be done by our technicians, including on-site installation for fleets at your depot. For bikes and cars you can also install a tracker yourself with our installation guide. Installation is included in your quotation where needed.
Can I see a demo before buying?
Yes. We give a free demo of the Apna Tracker app on a call — live map, history, alerts and reports — and fleets can get a demo account before they buy. Ask for it through the contact form, a call or WhatsApp.
Do you provide a GST invoice?
Yes. Businesses get a GST invoice. Share your GSTIN with us when you confirm the quotation.
Car & bike tracking
How do I install a GPS tracker on a bike?
Fit the tracker in a hidden, dry place under the seat or behind the headlight panel, connect its red wire to the battery positive, the black wire to ground and the ignition wire to the ignition (ACC) line, then switch on and check the bike appears live on app.apnatrack.in. It takes about 30 minutes; our technicians can install it for you. Read the step-by-step guide.
Where should a GPS tracker be hidden in a car?
Good places are behind the dashboard, under the steering column panel or behind an interior trim panel — dry, out of sight and with the tracker facing upwards. Avoid placing it under large metal parts or directly on the engine, which weaken the GPS signal or add heat.
Will a GPS tracker drain my vehicle battery?
No, not in normal use. A vehicle GPS tracker draws very little current, far less than the vehicle’s own electronics in standby. If a vehicle will stand unused for several weeks, ask us and we will set a longer reporting interval.
What should I do if my tracked vehicle is stolen?
Open app.apnatrack.in to see the vehicle’s live location and its route since the theft, file a police complaint with that information, and call us so we can help share the location with the police. Do not try to recover the vehicle yourself.
Can I stop my vehicle remotely?
Our car tracker supports relay wiring for engine cut-off. Remote engine cut-off from the Apna Tracker app is not available yet — until then you get instant ignition and power-cut alerts and the live location to share with the police.
Can my family see where the vehicle is?
Yes. You can add family members as users on your account, and use live location sharing so they can follow a trip and know you reached safely.
Can I track more than one vehicle in one account?
Yes. One Apna Tracker account can hold any number of vehicles and users, so a family can see all its cars and bikes together and a business can see its whole fleet on one map.
Which alerts does Apna Tracker send?
Ignition on and off, overspeed, main power cut and battery tamper, device offline, SOS / panic button, and geofence entry and exit. With a fuel sensor you also get refill and sudden fuel-drop alerts.
Can I track my vehicle on my phone?
Yes. Use the Apna Tracker app for Android or iPhone, or open app.apnatrack.in in any browser, and log in to see your vehicles live, replay history and get alerts.
What happens when there is no mobile network?
Supported devices keep recording positions when the network is weak and send them as soon as the signal returns, so the route history stays complete. Live location resumes when the vehicle is back in coverage.
Is it legal to use a GPS tracker on a vehicle in India?
Tracking vehicles that you own or operate is common and widely used in India, and AIS-140 tracking is required for many public-service vehicles. If your vehicles are driven by employees, tell them the vehicles are tracked. Do not track a vehicle that you do not own or have permission to track.
Fleet management
How can I prevent fuel theft in my trucks?
Fit a fuel level sensor with the GPS tracker. Apna Tracker then records every refill and every sudden drop in fuel with the time and the exact location, so you can match refills to bills and catch draining at once. Add geofences around depots and fuel pumps and check km/L for each vehicle every week. Read the full guide.
How does fuel monitoring work?
With a fuel sensor fitted on the vehicle, Apna Tracker shows the fuel level, detects refills and sudden drops (possible fuel theft), and calculates consumption and km/L.
How is mileage (km/L) calculated?
With a fuel level sensor fitted, Apna Tracker compares the distance driven (from GPS) with the fuel used (from the sensor) to give km/L for each vehicle. Without a sensor you still get daily kilometres, running time and idle time.
Can I see engine idle time for each vehicle?
Yes. Apna Tracker shows running time and idle time (engine on, vehicle not moving) for every vehicle, every day, so you can find vehicles that waste fuel by idling.
Does Apna Tracker show driver behaviour?
Yes — overspeed events against each vehicle’s limit and idle time are reported for every vehicle. Scores for harsh braking, acceleration and cornering are not available yet.
Can I set a different speed limit for each vehicle?
Yes. Overspeed limits are set per vehicle, for example 40 km/h for school buses, and you get an alert whenever the limit is crossed.
How does school bus tracking work?
Each bus has a GPS tracker (often an AIS-140 device with panic buttons). The school sees every bus live, gets an overspeed alert above the set limit (for example 40 km/h), receives SOS alerts instantly and gets geofence alerts when a bus reaches or leaves school. Route history shows every trip and stop time.
Can I track JCBs and construction machinery?
Yes. Apna Tracker shows where each machine is, its engine on/off hours, geofence alerts if it leaves a site, and fuel level and theft alerts with a fuel sensor.
Which reports are available?
Daily summary (kilometres, running time, idle time, top speed), trips, stoppages, alerts and fuel events. Reports can be downloaded as CSV and opened in Excel.
Can managers and staff have their own logins?
Yes. You can add as many users as you need — owners, managers, supervisors or clients — each with their own login to the Apna Tracker app.
What is a geofence?
A geofence is a virtual boundary you draw on the map — a circle or polygon around a home, school, depot or site. Apna Tracker alerts you when a vehicle enters or leaves it.
Does Apna Tracker have an API?
Yes. Apna Tracker has a REST API with API keys, so you can bring vehicle locations and data into your own ERP, transport or dispatch software.
Will Apna Tracker work with my AIS-140 device?
Yes. AIS-140 (VLTD) devices such as iTriangle Bharat 101 can send data to Apna Tracker as a secondary server. Your government VLTS reporting stays exactly as it is.
What is AIS-140 and does my vehicle need it?
AIS-140 is the Indian standard for vehicle location tracking devices (VLTD) with emergency buttons in public-service and commercial vehicles such as buses, school buses and taxis. Check with your state transport department for the rule that applies to your vehicle. Read our AIS-140 guide.
Which GPS devices are supported?
Apna Tracker works with AIS-140 (VLTD) devices, Teltonika trackers, GT06/Concox trackers and the pre-configured devices we supply. Share your device model with us and we will confirm before you start.
Accuracy, data & support
How accurate is GPS tracking?
Outdoors with a clear view of the sky, a vehicle GPS tracker is usually accurate to within a few metres. Accuracy drops in tunnels, basements, dense city streets or if the tracker is fitted under metal.
How often does the location update?
It depends on the device and its settings. We configure supported devices to report frequently while the vehicle is moving, so the map shows it live, and less often when it is parked to save data and battery.
Is my data safe? Where is it stored?
Your data is stored securely in India with daily backups. We never sell your data. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
How do I get support?
Call +91 95297 21111, message us on WhatsApp or email info@apnainfotech.com. Our team in Bikaner, Rajasthan helps in Hindi and English.
Can I resell Apna Tracker under my own brand?
Yes. Through the partner program, GPS dealers and installers get their own admin login, their own users and devices, and white-label branding with their logo and name.
